Educational Objectives

  1. Recognize clinical benefits and importance of diabetes therapies and integrated diabetes devices/SMBG use
  2. Overcome barriers for people with diabetes (PwD) and healthcare providers’ (HCPs) to technology access, and be continuously aware of technology advances
  3. Identify resources available to ensure PwD/HCPs knowledge of, and equity in diabetes device information, acquisition, shared decisions and ongoing management partnership
  4. Facilitate shared decision making with PwD to determine best method of insulin delivery
  5. Detect and manage diabetes comorbidities such as cardiovascular disease, dyslipidemia, and metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (formerly NAFLD/NASH)
  6. Apply learnings to diabetes management via current and future cutting-edge technology
