Educational Objectives
At the conclusion of www.cgmEDUCATION.net programs, participants will be better able to:
- Recognize clinical benefits and importance of diabetes therapies and integrated diabetes devices/SMBG use
- Overcome barriers for people with diabetes (PwD) and healthcare providers’ (HCPs) to technology access, and be continuously aware of technology advances
- Identify resources available to ensure PwD/HCPs knowledge of, and equity in diabetes device information, acquisition, shared decisions and ongoing management partnership
- Facilitate shared decision making between PwD and care givers to determine best method of insulin delivery, based on individual needs such as compatibility with latest devices, size/mobility, predictive capabilities, and instilling overall confidence
- Detect and manage diabetes comorbidities such as metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD)/Metabolic Dysfunction-Associated Steatohepatitis (MASH)
- Engage in ongoing, online dialogue regarding rapid-acting insulin administration, and mentor other clinicians/PwD for same.
- Apply learnings to diabetes management via current and future cutting-edge technology
